About University :-
The Central University of Gujarat was established by the Government of India in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, India through a Parliament Act, Central Universities Act, 2009. The aim of the 2009 Central Universities Bill is to establish one new central university in Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.
