About IIT JAM:
Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. is an all India Examination. It is held at different centers across the country, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur will be the Organizing Institute and will have the overall responsibility of conducting JAM 2021. It conduct the Common Admission Test for M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc. – Ph.D., M.Sc. – Ph.D. Dual Degree, M.Sc. – M.Tech., and other Post – Bachelor Degree Programs.
About IIT JAM Exam:
The objective of JAM is to provide admissions to M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, M.Sc.-M.Tech., and other Post- Bachelor’s Degree Programmes at the IITs and Integrated Ph.D. JAM is expected to serve as a benchmark for the undergraduate level science education in the country.
Exam Pattern of IIT JAM 2021:
The JAM 2021 Examination for all the seven test papers will be carried out as ONLINE Computer Based Test (CBT) where the candidates will be shown the questions in a random sequence on a computer screen. For all the seven test papers, the duration of the examination will be of 3 hours. The medium for all the test papers will be English only. There will be a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The entire paper will be divided into three sections, A, B and C. All sections are compulsory. Questions in each section will be of different types as given below:

The number of Test Papers Allowed:
A candidate can appear in either one or two test paper(s) by paying an additional fee. Candidates opting to appear for two test papers must ensure that they do not choose test papers that are scheduled in the same session.

About IIT JAM Admit Card 2021:
An Admit Card, bearing the Candidate’s Name, Registration Number, Photograph, Signature and Name(s) and Code(s) of the Test Paper(s) applied, along with the Name and Address of the Test Centre allotted, will be available for download from JOAPS website from January 05, 2021, until the Examination Date. Admit Cards will not be sent by post/E-mail. The candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card for all the entries made therein.
