About University :-

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (Young Scientist Incentive Plan) (KVPY) is a scholarship program funded by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, aimed at encouraging students to take up research careers in the areas of basic sciences. It offers scholarships and contingency grants up to the pre-Ph.D. level to selected students. Begun in 1999, it is administered by the Indian Institute of Science.

About KVPY Aptitude Test :-

The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India invited the Applications from the Eligible Candidates for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana scholarship program. The Interested and Eligible Candidates can apply for these Posts online. The Process of Online Submission of Application is starting from 6th of September, 2020 and the Last date to apply for this Scholarship Programme will be 5th of October, 2020. Education Qualification :-

Education Qualification for Stream SA :

Students enrolled in XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2020-21 and have secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST & PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Board examination are eligible to appear for the aptitude Test. The fellowship of the students selected under this stream will be activated only if they join for an under graduate course in Basic Science (B. Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S. ) in the academic year 2022-23 after having secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST & PWD) marks in aggregate in Science Subjects in the XII Standard /(+2) Board Examination. During the interim period of one year they will be invited for National Science (Vijyoshi) Camp and their travel expenses and local hospitality will be met by KVPY.

Education Qualification for Stream SX :

Students enrolled in XII Standard / (+2) (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2020–21 and aspiring to join undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S.) for the session 2021–22 during the academic year having secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST & PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board Examination are eligible to appear for the aptitude test. The Fellowship of the students selected under this stream will be activated only if they join for an undergraduate course in Basic Science (B.Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S.) in the academic year 2021-22 after having secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST & PWD) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects in the XII standard/(+2) Board Examination.

Education Qualification for Stream SB :

Students enrolled in the 1st year of B. Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S. during the academic year 2020–21 and have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST&PWD) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects both in the XII Standard / (+2) Board Examination and 1st year of B.Sc./B.S./B. Stat./B. Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. are eligible to appear for the aptitude Test.

Application Fee for KVPY Aptitude Test :-

For General category Rs. 1250/- (Rupees one thousand two hundred and fifty only) and Rs.625/- (Rupees six hundred twenty five only) for Students belonging to SC/ST/Persons With Disabilities. Application fee once paid will not be refunded.

Payments Mode :-

Payment of application fees. Please note that you must pay the application fee only at the KVPY application portal. This can be done by using a Credit Card, ATM-Debit Card or Net Banking. No other means of payment will be accepted. Once the payment is successful and application is submitted, no refund of application fee will be done.
