SSA Assam Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2020
With a view to support, strengthen and improve the quality of Elementary Education in the State of Assam in compliance with the Right to Education Act,2009 and with a view to ensure availability of teachers in Lower Primary and Upper Primary Schools of Assam especially in high pupil-teacher ratio (PTR) schools of remote and isolated areas, Online Applications are hereby invited in prescribed format from the permanent resident of Assam qualified in Assam TET conducted by Elementary Education Department, Assam for filling up of following posts of Assistant Teachers at Lower Primary and Upper Primary School on contractual basis under the Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission as shown in the tables below. Category wise number of vacancies may increase or vary due to resultant vacancies to be aroused from ongoing regular teacher engagement process under Directorate of Elementary Education. No separate advertisement will be published afterwards in case the number of vacancies increase.

Age Limit :
Minimum age is 18 years for all candidates and maximum age is 40 years for unreserved category, 43 years for OBC/MOBC and 45 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H) and 50 years for Persons with Disability (PwD) as on 1st January 2020.

| Assistant Teacher – Lower Primary | At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes -Or- At least 45% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations,2002. -Or- At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) -Or- At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education) -Or- Graduation from UGC recognized University with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes -Or- Graduation or Post Graduation* with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with LP- TET and Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University ** *As per NCTE Notification vide F.No. NCTE-Reg/012//22/2019-US(Regulation)-HQ, dated 13.11.2019 **The appointee who is appointed on the basis of qualification of Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.) shall mandatorily undergo a Six-month bridge course in Elementary Education recognized by the National council for Teacher Education(NCTE) within two years of the appointment. [5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST (P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC & PH candidates] |

How to Apply :
Interested eligible candidates should apply Online only Any other mode of submission of application would not be accepted. Candidates shall apply online in the website (www.ssaassam.gov.in) till midnight of 10:00 AM of 27/09/2020 to midnight of 11/10/2020. No offline application will be received. Incomplete/Defective/ Invalid application will be summarily rejected. After submitting the online application form, the candidate will get a Unique Number against the submitted application. The candidate should keep the record of the Unique Number for all future reference.
